Welcome to Chicago touchtennis!
The sport of touchtennis is a dynamic and fast-paced variation of tennis, often described as mini tennis due to its smaller court size. Played with 21” tennis rackets and a low-pressure foam ball, touchtennis requires quick reactions and agility from its players. The game fosters a social atmosphere, perfect for friends looking for a fun and accessible way to enjoy tennis on a small court. With its scaled down court dimensions, touchtennis offers a dynamic experience that emphasizes skill and strategy in every rally.

touchtennis drop-in play in the Chicago area
We're kicking things off by announcing the first ever Chicago-area touchtennis drop-in session (as far as we know) in the history of Chicago touchtennis. We’ll use this drop-in session to gauge interest in weekly drop-in sessions at the Tennis and Fitness Centre of Oak Park leading to league and/or tournament play so even if you can’t make it to Friday’s event please email us at
touchtennis@chicagotouchtennis.com
and let us know that you’re interested in weekly touchtennis drop-in sessions over the summer and we’ll include you in our planning.
Free touchtennis drop-in play will happen this Friday, 5/17/24, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Tennis and Fitness Centre of Oak Park, located at 301 Lake Street in Oak Park, Illinois 60302. TFC is very close to the southeast corner of Lake Street and Ridgeland Avenue and it’s about one block away from the Ridgeland stop on the CTA Greenline.
Sometime before Friday evening please enter the group code “chicagotouchtennis” in the TeamReach app to sign up to play so we know how many courts to tape out.
You'll need to sign a liability waiver at the TFC front desk and we're currently limiting the player count to sixteen but if you're waitlisted please check back because we may be able to open up another court or two.
Instruction and equipment will be provided if you haven’t played before and with overhead serving and tennis scoring, most tennis players can transition to playing touchtennis games in five to ten minutes so if you’ve taken a pass on pickleball try touchtennis for a small court workout that’ll improve your tennis game!
